PegTune Privacy Policy

Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how PegTune (“the app”), a guitar tuner published by Cortexlumora Private Limited (“we”, “us”, or “our”), handles your information. In short: PegTune does not collect, store, or share any personal data.

Microphone

PegTune needs access to your device’s microphone to hear your instrument and detect its pitch.

• Audio is analysed in real time, on your device, only while the app is open and tuning.
• Audio is never recorded, saved, or sent off your device. Each fraction of a second of sound is discarded as soon as its pitch has been measured.
• The microphone stops when the app moves to the background.
• You can turn microphone access off at any time in Settings → PegTune. The app cannot tune without it, but nothing else is affected.

Information We Collect

We do not collect any information through PegTune. The app has no accounts or sign-in, and it contains no analytics, advertising, or tracking. It does not access your contacts, location, photos, or any other personal data.

Settings Stored on Your Device

Preferences such as your selected tuning may be stored locally on your device so the app remembers them. They never leave your device and are removed when you delete the app.

Third-Party Services

PegTune does not include third-party SDKs that collect data. Apple may collect information about app downloads, purchases, and crashes as described in Apple’s Privacy Policy. If you choose to share crash reports or analytics with app developers in your device settings, Apple may share anonymised diagnostics with us.

Children’s Privacy

PegTune does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

If a future version of PegTune changes how information is handled, for example by adding in-app purchases, we will update this page and its revision date before that version is released.
